Your life story in Hebrew.
Write a synopsis of your life story, the purpose is that Beit hadin will be acquainted with your past and your connection to Judaism. Write if there were any Jews in your family, customs and Jewish traditions you follow. Jewish activities you took part in.
It’s important to express difficulties you anticipate in the process.

Note – these pictures will be in your files and your marriage certificate so be sure the picture is updated and modest.

Divorce certificate
If you have been divorced bring the certificate.
Close your martial file
If you have started a conversion process in the army and actually met the martial court of conversion you must close that file prior to meeting Beit hadin. Write or phone them ASAP.

If you are civilly married bring the certificate.

Confirmation of Judaism
This proof is brought by anyone who wants to register for marriage in Israel.
If the parents married in Israel you need a copy of their marriage certificate and Ketubah. If your parents don’t have these documents you can acquire a copy of them in the Rabbinate they enlisted for marriage.
In a case the parents got married abroad you must go to the regional rabbinical court (not conversion court) to confirm your Judaism. “Shorashim” can help you with that.

Conversion of children
Form of parents agreement to conversion
Both parents must sign they agree to the conversion/
Approval for minor conversion (signed by both parents) if one of parents isn’t present can be signed in front of a lawyer or later, in court. If a parent disagrees or is permanently missing you will need civil court for family issues to approve of the conversion)
